National Transplant Week 2007
The dates for National Transplant Week 2007 were 7th – 14th July 2007.
Thank you to everyone who ran events and helped raise awareness before, during and after the week. For more information about the success of the week please contact either Colin Day or Sue Johnstone or post a message to us on our talk about it page. We will be publishing a report on the week once all of the figures are available. However between 15th June and 13th August (the period when advertising for NTW started) over 121,000 people registered on the ODR, which shows the value of the week!
The week received considerable media coverage with GMTV having 2 days of stories as well as attending the launch. ITV, BBC Scotland, Local radio and National and local press also covered the week.
The theme of this year’s campaign was “What are you waiting for?” and featured Robyn Tainty, who was suffering from cystic fibrosis. Sadly Robyn died before receiving her transplant. Posters are still available from Sue Johnstone in both A3 and A4 format. You can also download a pdf version of the poster
