Donor Bus News

Thanks to the Astellas Foundation, who have provided TIM with a one-off grant we have recently acquired a “new” single-decker donor bus from Chester-le-Street Council. Over the coming months the bus will be refurbished and will be available in the new year for donor awareness tours of the UK. Having 2 buses will provide greater flexibility for the charity. It is planned that the bus will contain audio visual displays as well as the ability to sign up to the ODR on-line. On 23 March Transplants in Mind appointed Ray Pearson as the first Donor Bus Manager. Over the coming months Ray will be developing a strategy for the Donor Bus with the intention of increasing its profile and availabilty

Ray is in the process of introducing “Friends of the Bus” . More information will be published here shortly and is on the following PDF file

Corporate Sponsorship is welcomed for the bus, and we are looking for window advertising/sponsorhip for the current financial year.

Transplants in Mind is always looking for volunteers to help out on the Bus, whether this is is driving, or to help sign up to the NHS Organ Donor Register
