National Transplant Week 2008

The dates for National Transplant Week are 6th-13th July 2008. This is the 18th Year of National Transplant Week, and the launch will be on 8th July at the London Tranport Museum, Covent Garden. The Donor Bus will be there signing up to the Organ Donor Register and staff and volunteers will be on hand to provide information and advice. The British 10k Run in London also takes place on 6th July at the start of the Week, and a TIM team will be taking part and spreading the word.
There will also be a special event taking place later in the Week on 11th July in London, which should be a major boost for the charity and the work we carry out.
This year the posters feature our very own Donor Bus and are encouraging people to Jump on board! and Join 15 Million people already On board the NHS Organ Donor Register. For the first time we are producing 2 posters, which are now available in both hardcopy and electronically (by request). The posters feature ordinary members of the public, on the streets of Birmingham, waiting to sign up to the NHS Organ Donor Register on the Donor Bus. Donor Bus Manager Ray Pearson welcomes them at the door encouraging them to sign up!
Our thanks to Astellas for supporting National Transplant Week 2008
