Each year there are numerous caring individuals who support Transplants in Mind by raising money through sponsored events. This section is to thank all those who have raised funds for us in the past and who are currently raising funding for us.

Tom Hutchings, Tim Myall, Tom Ingold, Chris Casey
4 young men are raising funds for TIM by climbing Europe’s highest peak Mount Elbrus But first they have to drive the 5,000km to get there before scaling the 18,510 ft peak. TO support them
Bron Robinson & Cathryn Seymour

Bron and Cathryn are running the British 10k in London on 6th July, the start of National Transplant Week 2008. They have support from their local MP Edward Davey. To support Bron and Catharyn
Colin Moar
Colin Moar will be cycling in the L’Etape Du Tour on 6th July. The event is an annual amateur bike race that each year picks one of the stages of the Tour and opens it up to around 9000 riders a couple of weeks before the real Tour arrives. This year’s route is Stage 10: Pau-Hautacam, 169kms and a couple of little hills in the Pyrenees including the infamous Tourmalet. Note that last year over 2000 riders didn’t complete the course…just in case you thought this sounded easy…. To support Colin
Cim & Jerry Bartlett

Cim Bartlett is the recipient of a living donation from her brother Jonas. Cim & Jerry have raised funds for Transplants in Mind by going on an Antarctic Adventure, and plan to hold a Whisky Tasting and Dance Evening in order to raise awareness of Living Donation as well as raising funds. The “Dirty Dancing” is being held on 20th June. Cim will also be presenting her story at the launch of National Transplant Week on 8th July at the London Transport Museum, Covent Garden. The Tech Swim Team Girl’s

Katy Taylor, Lorna Docherty, Alison Malcolm, Kirsten Henderson, Harriet Floyd, Caroline Paige, Ruth Forster all ran in the Glasgow Women’s 10k on Sunday the 18th of May.
Katy ran in memory of her friend David Dempster who passed away in April 2008. David was an organ donor and so far his liver and his heart have saved 2 people’s lives.
Ruth ran to support her dad who recieved an organ donation. To support the girls
Jackie Thoms
Jackie’s friend Gail died in January this year waiting for a liver transplant, she had already had one previously which gave her 10+ years, but unfortunately when she needed another liver there was not one available.
Gail was 37 years old, a mother of two and happliy married.
Jackie’s best friend Jacqui is 37 years old and will need a heart transplant, Jackie just hopes that one will be available for her when she needs it, thats also why she is raising money for Transplants in Mind. To support Jackie
Tom Brett
Tom will be swimming the channel with a group of friends during National Transplant Week. Tom has previously taken part in the 3 Peaks Challenge. To support Tom
Paul Smith
Paul Smith will be taking part in this years British 10k Run in London on 6th July. To help Paul raise funds for Transplants in Mind visit Just Giving
Thomas Greenaway
Thomas and two friends, Joshua Mann and Harry Watkin are cycling from Land’s End to John O Groats at the beginning of July 2008 and during National Transplant Week.
It’s almost 1,000 miles and it’s going to take us 2 weeks.
